We, United Chemicals, are committed to supporting sustainable leather manufacturing across the globe and that is why we are proud members of the Leather Working Group/LWG.
The Leather Working Group/LWG is an international organisation made up of stakeholders across the leather supply chain, working to promote environmental best practice within leather manufacturing and related industries. The Leather Working Group/LWG aims to improve the leather manufacturing industry by creating alignment on environmental priorities, bringing visibility to best practices and providing suggested guidelines for continual improvement.
The ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme focuses on hazardous chemicals in the textile, leather and footwear product life cycle. It is a global program that leads the industry in becoming environmentally aware, to improve the supply chain, and promote transparency. The ZDHC intends on eliminating the hazardous chemicals by banning them or establishing a limit for their intentional use through the Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) & Conformity Guidance.
United Chemicals focus on environmentally friendly products and sustainability in the productions together with ecological and environmental commitments. Every company involved in our supply chain, from production to delivery is urged to share our ideology. We fully supports the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme and help the tanneries to take part in our endeavor.
